I want to install a tile backsplash in my kitchen. I want to use 6 "unglazed porcelain.

I'm using a little unsure of what type of materials and the pallet. Should I acrylic thinset mortar, mastic, if I do not know? A 1 / 4 "x 1 / 4" notched trowel or a title V, not sure what volume. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
